Real Food Apple Crisp

Classic apple crisp recipe gets a real food makeover and is free from refined sugar.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 medium apples peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup butter or coconut oil softened
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut or almond flour
  • cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Place peeled and sliced apples into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
  • Sprinkle water over the apples.
  • Generously sprinkle cinnamon over the apples.
  • In a medium mixing bowl combine butter, coconut sugar, and flour and mix with a pastry blender.
  • Pour coconut sugar and flour mixture over the apples and press down gently.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
